I bought a conversion kit for my 1949 8N and the new PTO shaft had a sleeve on it and when
I pulled out the old shaft it did not have a sleeve. Of course I could not get the new PTO
to go all the way in. Dose any one know what I Should do. I think I will ethier have to cut the sleeve off the new shaft or try figure out is the old sleeve is still inside stuck some where.
Any help out there!
I also have Business Opportunity for any one that would like to look, It's FREE

The 100$ or so pto change out kits are pretty much just unbolt and swap.

i'm not sure what you are talking about by saying 'sleave'

post a pic.

Normally you pull the 4 bolts holding the pto bearing carrier tot he rear housing flange, and then slide the entire assembly out, and the slid ethe new assembly in with a new gasket, install 4 bolts and go.
