My '49 8N came with a "Rest-O-Ride" seat. This was an option from the dealer over the straight pan seat and spring support. Over the years the shock absorber /coil spring has had it's day...

So, I'm going back to the original set-up...support as spring, and take my old pan seat and attached it to the spring support.
Anyone know where I could buy the "U" shape item?

I have one or 2 of them laying around on parts tractors. I have both an 8N for parts and the back half of a 2N also. E-mail is open.

Old, if it's the old original style. Which should be 3" wide, I'll buy one.

What is your email address? Or you can PM me to give all the details.

Thanks,

Fred

Might have one around here from a 2N, are they the same?

If it has a spring & a shock absorber, it's a Monroe E-Z ride seat. The Rest-O-Ride, which I have on all 3 of my N's, has two large rubber shocks on the back & is adjustable; it was never an option on the N. Your call, but I'd replace the shock; it's a world of difference than the OEM seat. That's why I have the Rest-O-Rides on mine.

Bruce, It is a Monroe E-Z Ride.. The mind has failed me... For some reason, I gave it the Rest-O-Ride name..
