Good luck with your transmission. If you need or want to pour a cement pad to do your tractor work on I have a cement mixer I'll give you. I live in Bergheim Texas which should be fairly close to you. Email me if you want it.

Email sent..

I didnt cut it most have been the previous owner. I been running it hard for over a year. Took that shaft a while to walk out of the gear...

So now you are denying it, and I am gonna have to take all that back?!?!?

I don't think so.

Thank God for John Smith!!

John Smith has a pin. Have not heard back from him, Sent him email. Still looking for a good used gear. Its a NLA pin and gear. When I get one I can send you the old cut off one and the right length. Be good enfo to keep on hand. Ill bet this is not the first time this has happenend!!

Pulling yours out would be easy. The hard part is getting it back in. (DONT DO IT!!!) If that gear or pin moves at all you cant get the pin back in.. You cant get at it from the top. You will have to split your tractor in 3. Not a easy project. That gear and shaft is on the bottom of the transmission. That bolt in pin is on the out side of the transsmission. People have posted here before and made the mistake of pulling the pin and wondering how to get it back in. Some think it is how you check the tranny oil level...NOT third party image

Some dufus did a similar thing 15+ years ago to my T-bird - now who could that have been? Cost me $350 to get an emergency reattachment at a local transmission shop.

I've got a good pin right here with your name on it. Email must not be getting through. If you have a way of checking your deleted spam emails take a look in there. I've got the idler gear, too.

Sean,

If you cant find one give me yell. Looks pretty simple - I can likely make you one if I you can get me decent dimensions. If not I might be able to pull the one in my 9N - how hard is it to get back in if you have the ccver off?

Just pulled the old pin to see it for myself. Someone pulled the pin....The common mistake...I thought it was to check the fluid level third party image third party image

Couldnt get it back in and cut it off with a hack saw third party image Then put the pin back in... I have at this tractor since june of 2006. Took the pin a while to work its way out of the gear...

Hard to see but this is what is left of the pin.
