I just did an overhaul on my 8n and it included a new clutch disk now I push the pedal almost (1") from the running board before I feel any resistance at all...nothing really changed much..the old disc wasnt worn too badly..whats the deal?

Open the FO-4 manual to page 64 and follow those directions as that is the only clutch adjustment there is.

I am sure you made sure you put the clutch disc in facing the correct way?

If you have to split it again, use this gauge to see where the release finger "heights" are as compared to where they're supposed to be.

If the replacement lined plate is excessively THICK, the finger heights will be too "low", and the reasle bearing will have to move too far (low pedal", before contacting them.
