Belated Happy Birthday, Gary. You finally caught up with me...but not for long. I always expected the "reward" of teasing the kids, spoliling the grandkids and sending them home, however, it backfired and I inherited a grand child 2 years ago and am doing 7th grade math again and running him around like I did with my two boys when I was 40. I'll be about 76 when he leaves for school, military or whatever..wonder if I'll still be on the N at that time.
Enjoy, Gary!

Thanks Jim;

Yeh, you sound like me, get them all hyped up then send em' home. I've got the same dread you are doing, raising a grandchild at my age, is not what I would call, something I would like to do. I'd do it if I had to, BUT....I don't really play well with other children.!!! third party image
Have fun!!!???? Take care.

Belated happy birthday! Hope you had a good one. It was great weather for sitting outside and drinking a cold one here. We made it to 87 in Minneapolis.

Mine was on Friday - turned 29. I've got some catching up to do ;-)

Cheers,
Colin

Man, it's 83° here right now.

I can't even imagine...

We are pretty much running 60° to 85° (it has hit in the 40°s a time or two).

I have a new round of yellow tomato plants that are just putting on green ones (I grew them from seed that I started in July), we just picked a cantaloupe off of my second round of vines, the okra is still going strong, I have nearly a Budweiser in the bottle 24 pack box full of okra, and the Ole Lady is gone to town, and supposed to bring me back some more canning jars, and vinegar (thanks again for the recipe, Hobo).

A few months back we put out about 12 sweet potato slips, those vines have covered a place about 12 feet wide, and 25 feet long, if it ever frosts here I will be plowing those up and seeing what they made, I speck quite a good many.

Hang in there, and stay warm!!

Well, Gary, I hope you have a good birthday today and hope everyone treats you with the love and respect you deserve. Boy, it sure would be nice to feel like we did at 35 yrs. for just one day, wouldn't it? Oh, well, that is only dreaming. But it seems like it was just yesterdaay, don't it. Oh, well, at least we are still breathing. You have a good day and enjoy yourself, my friend. Good Luck!!
