Calling all experts, I am doing the 3 pt hitch cherry picker thing seen here on this forum, I have the lower link mounts finished but am not sure how to figure out where the top link connection point goes. I am guessing that you want the top link basically parallel to the lift links when it is at its lowest point (angles down). Dont want to weld it all up until I am sure. Do you set it up with it at its lowest point or when it is lifted?

Thanks,

Joe

Joe, I am not totally convinced, here is another one that says 18".

I actually think 15" to 18" is about what has been normally used over the years.

Hi Dunk, like they say, "it is what it is!" I decided to round it off to 15 inches. Thats where I welded it. Makes it a 32 inch top link length. Sounds good to me. Thanks for the help, I am off to search for a top link now and she will be done!

Thanks Dunk,

From the drawing, I should put the toplink connection 14 13/16 above the center line of the drawbar. I knew if I came here it would be the right place.

It took a bit to find those specs (if I understand what you are asking)

Look here.
