Often we consider our friends to be the folks we sit down with over a meal or drink and chew the fat and discuss the weather with... Well, I've always held the term friend to mean something more than that, to me a true friend always has your back, they are someone you can trust with not just your most valuable possession (your N tractor?) but also with your family as well.

There is a couple folks on this forum who I believe to be true friends, Dan in Co and GB in MT. These folks went out of their way the last few days to help me, one was willing to get a carb and rebuild it for me and the other just plain mailed me one. Neither of them wants payment, they just simply wanted to be good neighbors. My understanding is there was a couple other folks who may have been involved as well but I am not sure who they are right off (seems Sean from TX was involved as well?).

I truly want to thank these folks for their help and I will post how the 9N runs as soon as I get the carb on this week.

I appreciate this forum and the people who maintain it as well as the people who are the life blood of information and the heart of this forum, without those key people I don't know quite what I would do with my 9N...
Thank you again guys,

James

James;

All I did was to send you a carburator that was headed for the landfill (it did work, but not great). What you guys have done for me is Way beyond that and I think I will be getting even more help in the future as I get deeper into the 2N.
Thanks, James for the kind words and thank you Gary for convincing James to accept.

JD & coke is my choice for a toast to the forum

James;

Thanks for the kind words!!!

The way I see this forum is; People post things they need to know, or things they need help with. The reader makes up his/her mind if they can help at all, then acts on that decision, if he they are able to help.

I love this forum. I've broused a lot other forums, and found them lacking the comradship that I enjoy here.

I'm very glad to have helped in any way I could, and would only hope that if somewhere down the road I need help, I can get it from the great people on this net.

With that said, I think I'll join Dunk and Sean, and have a nice tall toddie.

Me too...third party image

Gary knew I had a TSX-33 on hand...He wanted it to rebuild for you...But by the time I heard about it Dan in Co had offered you one. Glad you got it running good enough to get them hogs to market. Mine ran pretty good with the TSX-33 but I had a occasional pop at idle. Didnt have to choke it to get it to run... I happened across a TSX-241B...I installed that one and the hit and miss pop went away when I put that on...

Just one question Dunk, Sober post or Other???

I've been drinking pretty heavy here for the last couple hours, of course it is just a warm Dr. Pepper but that is pretty much as strong as it gets for me, give or take Mt Dew's Live Wire (good stuff in my opinion) course I've been accused of drinking it for the Sugar rush and Caffeine buzz but I deny it...

This is my most favorite bar.

I like hanging out here, hardly ever do I post when I am sober, but I do read when I am sober.

I usually get a good laugh in the AM about some of my posts that I don't remember posting the night before.

I have had someone here help me out like that too.

I like most of my friends that live inside of my computer, better than a lot of my "so called" friends in person.

There are still a lot of VERY good folks left, but I think they are fewer, and farther in between.

This Internet narrows that distance considerably.

I believe that all information should be freely available.
