Got my 48 8n to shut off now since I followed yer instructions to the nth detail..couldnt get a diode from NAPA but got an idiot light and it works as you said it would OH GREAT SPARKIE GURU!! Torqued it down after second start up and noticed some more bubbles comming fron the head studs (2)...torqued it to 60 lbs..hot and it seems to have stopped..any way to check and be sure now?? Sounds great and oil pressure is 40 cold and 35 hot..

ricko, if that stud continues to give you trouble, take it out and put some non hardening permatex on the threads and put er back in. RP
