Today I bought another 8N,if my memory serves me right its a 1950.Anyway bought it with the finishing mower with it.The sad thing about this good old tractor is,it has been mowing a airport runway at a resort and no one gave a d#m about her. They couldnt figure out why she wouldnt lift the mower, hey arent you suppose to put transmission oil into it? Anyway I knew this when I bought it.She is in my shed as I type this and the plugs are letting out what milky oil was left.I have to say Henry Ford did build one tough tractor. He must have knew that all kinds would run them.

Ande, Hey that's great! You know a little trick I use when I want all the milky junk out. I use one of those 300 watt mechanics/shop lights. You know the ones that get so darn hot you can't stand to work around? I plug one in under my tractor and let her drip in a pan over night while the heat gets all the moisture out. Take the top fill plugs out too so the moisture has an escape route. Some say it's overdoing it but it sure gets the sludge to moving. Congrats one the new baby. How many you got now?

Mark, your idea of actually heating up the transmission with the shop lamp brought another idea up,that of putting one of those magnetic electric heaters on the side and with me I would need to be around but,I feel it would be much safer.Anyone else did this to get out all of it?Thanks for your ideas Mark
