A while back someone posted a picture of a springy thingy, asking if folks could identify it. It turned out to be a device to keep the upper arm of a 3-point hitch from falling down when disconnected.

Does anyone know where I could buy one of those?

That was me. I still have it. I got lots of responses to that and it turns out that it is probably really a clip that is supposed to go on a radiator hose and keeps the wiring harness out of the fan. I don't know what piece of equipment it was originally intended for, but it works dandy as a leveling box crank holder.

I'll sell it for $7 and ship it in a padded envelope (First Class Mail) or $10 if you want it by Priority Mail. email is open.

I think the spring was to hold the arm from turning on the adjustable leveling box assembly . There is a similar set up on this pic .

Click on the link to see Hobo's site were he shows how to make a holder for the top link when not in use .

Most hardware stores sell them... in universal kits called 'roll of heavy gauge wire'

Just get ya a foot of some 10 brace fence wire and go at it with some hand tools till it looks right.

You're right, of course. This "city boy" doesn't immediately think of the 'do-it-yourself' angle, although I should because I enjoy that kind of thing.

"10 Brace" ?? Is that anything like 10 guage? It's a term I'm not familiar with...again, City Boy.

I think it might actually be thicker that 10ga.

If you have a farm store go in and ask for brace 10 wire and if their face doesn't crinkle.. you will probably be ok.
