I bought one for a hundred bux or so and wish now Ida spent the extra 40 for the better one..the one I have in my 48 8n now is close to junk..nothing fit exactly ie: shroud, bottom bolts which do not screw into radiator but have a slot for either a carriage bolt or I just used the old bolts and square nuts so they wouldnt spin..worked ok. The top of the radiator doesnt come out the hole in the hood evenly and is cocked to one side..Im afraid to bend it lest I break some solder loose. Just seems awfully flimsy compared to the old original I took out. Had too many leaks to fix and the fins and core was all banged up from previous baja racer tractor driver. My advice is to buy the better radiator and buy an American one!!

I just installed a clancy radiator in my 9n, it seems to be of good quality and once I fitted the carrage bolts and stop cock on her it was smooth sailing, she dropped right in. Clancy is out of Ireland but the radiator is made in the Czech. republic.

There's been numerous threads on these boards about the poor quality of the chinese radiators.

I believe the preferred ones are the onces from Ireland... Clancy I believe? I've seen the Irish ones on ebay before - just be sure to check through the verbiage of the auction for the details. Folks that list them usually make a note of it and the fact that's it's not one of the chinese ones.

I lucked out in that the original on my 1940 9N (9N16358) is in pretty good shape and I'm able to continue using it.

Yeah I bought a chinese piece of junk radiator one time and I believe it was from Davis Tractor. I couldn't even use the piece of garbage. I'm so sick and tired of all the garbage that these AMERICAN companies are importing and shoving down our throats. Just so they can make a buck. Shame on you.

Ricko, An American one? Where in the world do you find them American ones? I agree, my old original one is built like an army tank. I better go git it out the yard before some bum brings it to the recycler and it ends up in china.
