My uncle was telling me his grandpa used the word Lyrup or Larup or Lairup or Larip to describe anything that got poured, like on pancakes.

I have heard of "takin a big laripen p__$."

Inquiring minds want to know.

I prepaired you a very good list of answers to this question, only to have the board loose the whole post because of some unallowed stuff (yes I know I should save it, before I trust the board with it).

So I re-did it in html and made a webpage for it, usually my second attempts aren't ad good as the first because by them I am ticked that it lost it.

Lets see if this works...

larrup.. can mean to move clumsilly.. that's.. oh. the 3rd difinition for it in a copy of the websters new collegiat dictionary I have.. ( old one from 1979 )

Maybee thats it?

Syrup does pour out thick and clumsilly I guess?
