Need some help guys. Found a post hole digger at an acution for $100.00 now trying to find out what kind it is. It"s yellow and the label on the boom is worn it reads Fred _rain au_ger digger. Nothing stamped on the auger head at all to tell what it is. Discovered the PTO shaft is bent just at the spot it needs to be to telescope so I can hook up to the 8n so I"ll have to find a new one but for $100 with an 8 inch auger in good shape not a bad find. Just need some help on what kind of PHD I have now.

Well I went to TSC and bought a new PTO shaft but unfortunatley the shaft on the digger head is larger than the universal joint on the new shaft.

Watch out for that PTO shaft. My free one only needed the front half of the shaft, it was 200.00 I finally found one local for 15.00.(I looked for two years)

Head out to farm country and find the local guy who fixes the equipment right out in the field for the local farmers. He will weld you a new one for a modest amount...any length or size. All you need to do is ask around.
