Thanks to all of the good advice I received here on 11/8 I solved my problem on the rebuilt generator I put on. When I got around to trying to start it the battery was dead. Took it to where I bought it, they tested it, charged it, and declared it OK. Did all of my testing per suggestions from those here. Put it in today and she fired right up. Got a good 7+ volts going into the battery and did my final cut of the lawn today.

Problem originally was caused by the pulley spinning off the generator, then discovered generator was also burnt out due to open circuit, discovered bad cutout relay (open circuit probably) and replaced it, forgot to polarize everything, but all is fine now.

You got it. It's also amazing I can settle myself down and with a little coaching from you guys fix the tractor sometimes without panicking and throwing in the towel. I've owned and run this thing for 18 years now and it's only been the last year or two I'm starting to understand it a little
