Can someone tell me if my 2N could safely lift an 8 ft wide set up (Delta) with 8 ft long chains? I believe the tractor can lift about 700 lb close to the drawbar, but this set up has a long overhang. The sales people can't tell me the weight, and the website is no help.

Thanks

Peter

I've got a '47 8N that I use a 6 ft. chain harrow with 3 point lift on and it handles it fine. The total weight of the harrow and lift is about 400 lbs.

I wouldn't think that the 8 ft. unit is going to be all that much more.

Go fer it but let the clutch out easy third party image

A good working 3 point on an N will lift up over 800lbs but, and thats the big one. If you load is back a long ways the front becomes very light to the point the front wheels will be in the air and thats not something that is fun to have happen because you can flip it and or loose control and do some funny things
