Aaron,

I think this tornado air element was an option on my 8N. I ran the tractor with out the element for several days, it looks like a sediment bowl for fine dust prior to entering the actual air cleaner oil bath. Anyway when I removed it from the tractor I accidently dropped and broke the jar. Found a 1/2 pint ball mason jar that fit just fine (remove the wife's preserves before using one). You can also buy these but they want around $7 each.

I have looked at all of the product jars in the grocery and cannot seem to find one in a jar that looks like it will work. Any suggestions out there??

It rakes either a 1/2 pint or 1-pint Mason jar, depending on what size bail is on the unit. It's a pre-filter, supposed to trap bugs, heavy particulate. The originals had the name of the company embossed in the glass. Mason jars are avaialable at any grocery store or hardware/dry goods/farm supply.
