I lost the button doodad that you push to attach the brush hog to my 8n PTO...I guess its the button on the yoke?? maybe?? I went to tractor supply and they have several sizes but I dont see what keeps it in place.. all they sell is the package with the spring and the doodad. Does it get wedged in there somehow or what??

I had the same thing happen to me about 4 years ago. I bought a kit from TSC and in the instructions it had you use a punch next to the hole to "wedge" the pin in it's hole. Could that be the 4 indentions you are seeing?

It is a push in and it is smaller to fit over the PTO, or adapter, then let go to be larger, and fit in the slot on the PTO or adapter.

It is a machined pin, smaller on one end, and smaller in the middle, and it has a lock ring or whatever on the outside of the small end, that keeps it from coming all the way out.

Take the front part of the shaft, and pull it out and take it with you, and see if they have a push button that fits???

The new shafts I looked at dont look like they have a lock ring to keep the pin in..just 4 indentions around the hole..how does that work?
