My email is always open, on the modern view of this forum.

I will try to answer any ???'s through email, as my FIL is 81 yrs. old and does not want to deal with this.

He also has this JD crawler for sale.

third party image

A trade might be an option for the crawler. He wants a used/good backhoe, and bucket.

Thanks for reading. Contact through Email only at this time.

Matt;

Where the heck is; Hayden located??? I've got an old rand that does not have it listed. Sure sounds familiar. I've been through a lot of Idaho, going south on 15, towards Salt lake and such, but I can't place the town.

I married a young one. Started training her early too. Had one tractor when we got married. Bought grandma's to30 ferguson added $4500 to it? ( its still in a bucket btwthird party imagethird party image Later traded a paint job for allis b. Then the bug got worse of course :D

I later found guy with a tractor for sale up the road from me. Well..... ..... . It was more like 12 or something. So me and a buddy bought em all.
The was was ok with #4 -7? Till I bought the high crop Jd A and the unstyled B and the 44? B then the F20. I think thats most of em? I have to count.

Few weeks ago I was getting rid of a car that we had and was offered a '48 case vao - well it was hauled home you could say - she thinks its my buddies tractor - so everything is all right far as being in trouble..... ...

A man after my own heart.
I love them tractors when they have a lot of non typical, home-made suff hanging on them.
Especially when they're blue.
Interesting snow plow apparatus for sure.

Mark P.; I know what his price is and if someone gets to or close to it, He will sell to them.
BTW: Diff. price for every one????? I see you don't have a clue as to what kind of person I am.!!!! If you think that is how I treat people, ask around first before ya leap!!!!! I been here too long to treat the people on this forum the way you might think!!!!, and I have friends on here that will attest to that.

Thanks for asking.

What? Sell my first true friend???? Are ya crazy??
That blade on the dozer is the brush blade. He has a bull blade that he chages to, for plowing. It goes too. Also has the Cargo winch on it that I fixed for him last yr. Works really good. Now that, I would not mind makin' payments on!!!!!

You know, you're onto something there. Now with a tractor, you can always tell which direction its been, and which direction it's headed. That must by why we like tractors so much.

Well, I'd say that your FIL's 8N (same year as mine) is a fine specimen. Eleanor could use a mate. She gets lonely. If I had the bucks and a way to move it, I'd say an adventure to MT to meet you would be just the ticket.

Some other time - best of luck finding it a good home.

Colin

The crawler is a IH TD9, and I ask him about the tracks being on backward, and he said,"ya know, I always wondered about that, but they worked this way and I just never checked it out". third party image

I think that makes a lot of sense. If you get in a bind, you can always be assured that you"ll have the greatest traction going backwards :-)

Yes, I'm a doofis. It is an IH, he said the mod. is TD-6 or TD-9. The ID tag and ser# is missing and has been as long as he has had it.

As far as the tracks being on backwards, I don't think he would know.!!third party image I sure don't. They were on that way when he bought it, and I do not think he has ever had them off.
