Week before last, I had bought a set of Stabilizer bars, and a set of Stay bars to put on Hermie. Then last week I read a post where someone was having all sorts of problems with thier's. This post went for about 3 to 4 days. I thought, Oh boy I hope I don't have those prob's with mine!!!third party image

Well, this morning I got guts enough to try to put them on!!! third party image

third party image

What the heck???? 55 min. later, They were on and tightened up with the drawbar installed.third party image

third party image

Who would have thunk it. No prob's at all????third party image

Must be livin' right or sompin'!!!third party image

I hope DELL, approves!!!!

reddogge;

Thanks for the reply.
I've been thinking about the previous posts of greef, on the instellation of
these bars, and...; have come to the thought that, the people having all the trouble, may be because they buy "mix and match" parts to install them. I think if anyone wanting to have a trouble free intellation, should search around for the complete sets of these items, no matter who they buy them from. JMHO!!!

That is what I did. The stabilizer bar set is a set, (TISCO BRAND), bought from YT parts, and the stay bars, are a set, (also TISCO BRAND), bought from HELMS tractor parts.

Like I said prev., in no time, both sets went together with no probs, and was installed correctly the first time around. I put them on loose first, inspected them for correctness, and then tightened everything up.

Fit like a glove, and did not have to modify anything at all.!!!third party image

Sorry for the long rant, but was thinking of the others that go to buy these bars. Maybe this will send them in the right direction!!!

Thanks again everyone.

Gary

Looks great. I put them from TSC on my 9N 18 years ago and never had one second's problem using or installing them. Glad yours went smoothly.

Gary,
Hermie looks great, and you did a great job on installing your drawbar system.

Gary,

You will love the bars, keeps everything in line (stabilizer bars that is) the other bars seem to get things off line.

Merry X-mas

Gary, you need to get a life! I can see buying attachments for Hermie, but you are getting to scare me. Does your wife know you are buying good-lookin' gifts for a "guy" friend?

Sorry for the misspelling above, but it would not let me return to correct it, from the preview.

Even though they are a little more than I thought they would cost, they really do what they are supposed to do.

And I think they look pretty good too.third party image

Nice setup Gary. That"s what I use to haul my trailer and the stabilizers keep the trailer from trying to pass me on the downhills. Be sure you don"t raise the lift arms. If you do you"ll put a WOW in those stabilizer bars. Don"t ask!

Merry christmas Hermie.

I thought the guys having all sorts of problems installing theirs were using the "stock" non-adjustable mountings under the fenders. Your's look perfect & I'm sure you will appreciate not having the snow plow wander back & forth.

Gary---a perfect setup---make sure you earmark these pics for posterity or even post them in the archives.

There always seems to be confusion on "stay bars", "draw bars", "stay straps" and "stabilizer bars" during the course of a year.

Your pics provide all 3 correctly installed (on a nice looking 8N to boot)!

Looks like Hermie is ready for "bear"

Tim
