8N heater Cord

My 49 8n has had what looks like a heater installed in the rad hose but it never came with a plug how should i go about finding one for it or am i better off getting a neew heater for it?

I've seen lots of them that are 2-prong 'figure 8' pattern cords.. You can get those in most mom-n-pop hardware stores.

post a pic of the plug.. closeup to see the size/shape / pinout. include a visual clue like a ruler or coin for size ratio

Adam, Most heaters are made by either Phillips Temro, Kat's or Pyroil. I'd recomend making a sketch of how the plug and terminal is layed out and taking it to your local parts stores. A good parts guy can figure it out. It may turn out to be an off brand, you'll find that out pretty quick and then replacing the unit would be the way to go. If you do find a replacement cord be sure the terminals on the heater are clean and not coroded. The corrosion will create tiny arching which over time gets worse and you'll end up melting the plug . Does it have a cord??? If so, I'd put a plug on it and give'er a try - watching closely, of course.
