My son and I are trying to hook up trailer lights to a 1999 Tacoma.It has a green,yellow,brown, and white(netural).Does anyone remember how they go .It is confusing trying to guess them out. Thanks,and Merry Christmas to All of you.

Brown also has an "R" in it. third party image (But I can remember that the "tail" probably has some brown in it.) third party image

Is it a 2 or 3 wire system, it makes a big difference. If it is a 3wire system you will need a converter box

Just remember green has an R in it so it goes to the right. Yellow has an L so it goes to the left. Brown is tail and white is ground (covered in snow)

Remeber that:
Right=Grass side
Yellow=Yellow Strip side
Brown=Tail lights
White= Ground
dont rely on the ball to provide a ground

green - Right turn/brake

yellow - Left turn/brake

brown - tail lights

white - ground
