I've got a 2n that has some front wheels with really rusted on nuts. There are pock marks in the nuts though they still retain their approximate shape.

I need to replace the front tires, what's the best approach to get the wheel off?

Wrang the bastards off, and punch the hulls out and put in new ones.

Nuttin special about the nuts less you have to have zackly as original china made ones from dennis Carpenter.,,, same with the studs i have matched them at a good parts store. I stock'em for a 8n not sure about a 2N,,, not enuff money in them to mess with mail order.

I've bought stuff from them before, they are great.

I'll have to call them, I had looked at their inventory online and didn't find them.

That won't weaken the area around the holes in the wheel?

After heating I just try to loosen the nuts and they'll come off, or some other method? Like tightening them until they snap?

That's really neat. I do buisness with them a lot. I even have thier ebay site in my favorites, on the computer. Man, you talk about fast shipping!!!

Good prices too!!!

Next time ya see them, tell them they sure have a satisfied customer on my end. Course, I always give em' good feedback on ebay, but It may mean a little more coming from you, about how I feel about dealing with them!!!

Of course, I've always had great service from this site too!

Gary,

Jimmy has always gone the extra mile to help me. I work an hour away and he has always been willing to wait on me to come by to pick up parts! I know of a few folks that have dealt with them and received the kind of service that is almost unheard of now. The folks at Helm's were able to determine that their problem was not what was initially thought and took the part back from them and gave a refund.

Gary, Jimmy and his staff are really great folks. I live 10 mins down the road from them and visit on a regular basis. In fact, I got my 8N from Jimmy!

Where's a good place to find the replacement studs? Here I can only find the nuts.
