Hey:

Really cool website. Intresting information on the Stirling engine. Here is a youtube video link of a Stirling in action.

Link

Wonder if engine could be used to charge batteries or possibly operate LED lights?

Safety & blue skies,

DJ

When I was a kid (in the 60's) you could buy a model kit of a V8 car engine. It was called the "Visible V8" because the cast iron parts (block, head, etc) were clear plastic. Each engine part had to be installed and properly timed (match the timing marks on the cam gear to the crank gear, etc).

Putting that together helped me understand what was happening in a four stroke engine. Maybe those kits are still available, I don't know.

Piston engines; lawn mowers, tractors and cars... and even jet turbine engines are all pretty much Suck, Squeeze, Bang & Blow... 'course the turbines are kinda non-stop...

Makes our world go 'round...

Brings back memories of book I read when much younger. They called it suck, squeeze, pop and phooie. Now that's been over 50 years ago and I still remember. Maybe memory is not as bad as wife claims!!
