I have a 2N where the radiator filler neck is bent forward. This makes the back of the winged radiator cap stick up in the air. Is there a good way to straighten up the neck without damaging it?
Thanks.

NOTHING TO IT!

Sick a snug-fitting rod or a dowel into the neck, and tilt it straight.

If the solder cracks loose, slather some "tinning flux" around the neck, then warm up the area around the neck with a propane torch, being careful not to overdo it, so as to loosen the tank from the header, or anything silly like that!

Apply some 50/50 or 60/40 acid-core solder, as needed, and you're done.

Clean up the acid and flux while it's still warm with a brush, and hot soapy water.

Make sure the rad isn't tilted first . If its a problem , remove it & take it to a radiator shop & have it loosened & soldered back in position . HTH ! God bless, Ken
