Wondering if someone could tell me,when the "49" 8N came out,was it with a key switch ign,or a push pull button?If it was a button,where do you get them?

Ande..... ...ALL the N-tractors used a keyed ignition switch. $15 (cheap) I consider it to be a "weaksister" 'cuz the guttz clapp out and cause ignition problems. I finally bought a 25AMP waterproof marine grade toggle switch after replacing 3-switches in one summer of brushhoggin. A push-pull switch of sufficient amperage would work too..... ...Dell, the satisfied

8n allways came with keyed switch.

Ignition Switch, Keyed - For all Fords 1939 through 1964 except Dexta and Fordson Major with 34 inch hole. Keyed Ignition Switch comes with 2 keys (Part No: 8N3679C)

Thanks for the information,reason I asked,is as a kid,I played on a maybe 48 8N and it had a metal push/pull,this was back in the early 60's,it was probably changed.I had it in my head that they maybe came with that.
