I haven't gotten to where I can check in the FO-4 but I looked down at my left rear wheel today while I was on the tractor and there's some sort of oil/fluid that blopped onto the inside of the wheel.

Maybe about 2 oz of fluid. Is this some sort of a seal problem?

The fluid didn't seem to be actively dripping, more of a one time squirt look.

rd99..... ....ya gotta understand the N-rearaxle bearing lubrication scheme. It is SPLASH lubed by oil slingers next to the diffy. The excess lube drains back out the axle trumpet mouth to the diffy.

When you OVERFILL yer hydro-tranny, that tends to FILL the axle bearing and iff'n yer seals are worn, then it will LEAK OUT yer trumpet mouth into yer brakes (the GLOOP yer noticed) 'spesshally iff'n yer really side-tilted, like down innna ditch.

The 5-gals of hydro-tranny oil is best checked and set by pulling the 6-o'clock bolt in yer 6-in dipstick plate and let enny overfill DRAIN down the side of the tranny overnite.

Why does the hydro-tranny overfill??? 'cuz most likely yer tranny shifter rubber boot is torn and leaks rainwater into yer hydro-tranny oil. $5 (cheap)

Me? I'd gitta $5-spraycan of brake cleaner and FLOOD yer brake drum and shoes. Squirt'em good. Whole dang canfull, watch'em eyes (don't ask)..... ...Dell

Even if you have sure seals they could be wore out. Happened to me. Just replaced my seals bearings and added new sure seals this past spring...If your brakes have not failed yet they soon will...

I was grading my road and I had to pull over and one side of the tractor was in the ditch so the whole thing was tilted pretty well while I waited for a car to pass. After that was when I noticed it.

I've got a 1947 2N.

Could that have caused it, or is that not related.

If it is a seal should I see it continually dripping from now on or what will the symptoms be?

Yep.. rear axle seals letting trans/diffy/hydro fluid lube the brakes.

sump might be overfull.. and / or the seals are shot.

if 9n/2n sure seals ar ehe ez fix.. if early to mid-late 8n you have 1 seal.. if late 8n you have 2 seals.
