2N questions

My 2N is a '42 by serial number on the block... however... it came with a smooth dogleg (one dogleg was missing) that I have read was chaged in '42 to the one with the lower bolt hole. Anybody have the scoop on this? And a smooth right side dogleg they want to get rid of?

Also, all of the starter safety switch linkage is missing from under the steering box to the starter switch. Anybody have a diagram of that linkage, or better yet, a set they want to sell me?

Thanks,

George

It's not a 9N. As JMOR said, the I-beam radius rods lasted til 44. Since the smooth doglegs changed in '42, it's possible that mine came with some leftover smoothies during that model year before the new ones came out, or it's possible that someone just fitted one on.

The reason your N has that style dogleg is because it is probably a 9N. I say this because the radius rods are the "I" beam type that were used on the 9 before they were changed to the hollow ovel on the 2n.
