My 1947 2N sat from 1992 until summer of 2007 at my grandfathers place.

It took about 15 minutes to get it running. We had to adjust the points and the battery was dead.

It cranked up using starting fluid and ran.

To get it to start without using starter fluid, I had to remove the spark plugs and do the automatic transmission fluid treatment, filling it up and putting the plugs back in and let it sit and hand turned the engine over and did it again. Probably about 3 days of it in that condition.

After that it started up fine, and has continued to run decently.

Bill,

If it were me, I"d move that equipment and then figure out what to do with it. Don"t look a gift horse in the mouth.

With your photos, we"ll certainly be able to help you identify stuff.

Congratulations!

Colin, MN

Sounds like the stuff is cheap or free.

I'd tow a free dead 9n home any day.. if nothering else you can part it.

but heck.. as long as it didn't die from a mechanical failure.. it probably just needs a tuneup, fresh battery, and some lubrication for a few days preio to starting back to life.

All of it is good or can be made good or used to fix one. Sorry to me the only junk is what one doesn't save and thats only because the person doesn't know better. As far as that 9N well you should see the JD-D I just got. Only has one tire if you can even call it a tire and its locked up but unless I find that the block is cracked it will run again. I have taken a good many fence row broke down stuff and fixed it up so if I can any body can it they just will. I know if you where close I'd take any thing you don't want.
