Just learned that my friend who has let me borrow his '50 8N for the past couple years while my 8N is apart for rebuild would like to retrieve it for snow removal, etc. at his farm. I'm very thankful he's let me keep it as long as he has, and when it is returned, it will be in much better shape than it was when he brought it out.

All that to say, I guess I'd better move my tractor rebuild a little higher on the priority list.

Current Status:

It's still in large chunks out in the machine shed, and the last thing I worked on (besides wire brushing the surface rust off, which needs to be done all over again) was attempting to remove the brake pedals - an attempt which resulted in broken bolts on both sides. The left side is drilled out, and I will need to drill out the right, and then tap and replace both.

Will also need to hang some sheet plastic or something to make a smaller volume of air for the wood stove to keep warm - right now, the stove only serves as a hand warmer... The pole barn is about 80x50 (x20' tall).

Nothing like the proper incentive to get the juices flowing.
