Oswald..... ..NO SLOP..... .frontwheel slop as described is usually loose bearing nut inside hubcap. Altho it could also be BAD bearing. Only way to tell is to clean and re-greese. Simple, eh?

8N Rear ag-bar tire slop means the tapered spline rearaxle hub has worn and the 450ft/lb BIG NUT is loose. New hub $50, (cheap) This has been asked and answered many times, you might want to check the archives at the top of this great N-Board. As a general rule, worn hub splines aren't a "safety" issue but keeping the BIG NUT ON is..... ...Dell

thanks. On the front is there an inner and outer bearing like on a car ?? Or just a tapered bearing ?

So I could just pull the nut and repack nd tighten or preload the bearing nut ? Is ther instructions here how to do it ? If the rears just had a little slop and the nut was tight would you leaveit alone ? Is there instructions here to chg hubs too ?
Thank you

Owner's manual and IT FO4 shop manual are available for sale on this site. Both are valuable if you are going to do much work on your tractor. Front wheels have inner and outer bearings and are easy to clean inspect and repack.
