just wondering were i can get some block sealer. guess i didnt know there was a such thing. do you guys think that a transmition would warm up enough for this stuff to work . thanks for any info

hey guys i really dont know what i was thinking, guess i wasnt.lol i absolutly would not put stop leak in anything oil. i have a cracked tranny im jbing right now and i guess thats all im thinking about, or not thinking apparently lol. thanks for keeping ,me in the straight lol

Like Zane said, you should ABSOLUTELY NOT put K&W Block Seal in ANYTHING OTHER THAN an engine cooling system.

Sealers like that are made to work in anti freeze/water not oil. And even if you did find one for oil at best its a fix that will not last.

Never ever never put any sealant in a transmission. Block sealer is strictly for an engine and at best is a bandaid fix.

Most Auto parts stores should have it . I like the K&W brand but have seen others.

I dont remember if the motor needed to get warm or not , but it mixes with the water in the cooling system then air dries , so I dont know if you could use it on a tranny case .

I guess you could if you had the case apart and clean if you mixed it with water and brushed it on , but at the stage it would be simpler to replace it .
