My '45 2N was used as an orchard work horse. It has hauled enough fruit to clean every colon in the free world. The '41 parts tractor I acquired had a front end loader and was used to clean horse stalls. The 2N lift assembly is tired and old and I am wondering if the rarely used 9N assembly will bolt right on. The only visible diffrence is in the fork that connects the lift lever to the control valve. The 9N fork is cast iron or solid steel of some sort while the 2N fork is a pressed steel. I don't think there is any difference but I will feel better about installing the older lift if I get some positive feed back from someone with some insight to this swap. Thanks for your input and happy N-ing!!

It will drop right in.

There are various versions of the control linkage parts, some forged, some pressed/stamped and some combinations which may be original or may be an accumulation of earlier and later parts. Don't worry about it, just drop it in.
