I phoned every Ford Dealer in the province looking for stabilizer bar mounts that mount to the fender bolts to hold the stabalizer or sway bars (whatever you call them) for my jubilee and 8N and they had no idea what I was talking about. 4 dealers and nobody had a clue? they had never heard of them for an 8N. Then I look in the US and you can get them at TSC for about $ 10. but they don't ship to Canada so I had a friend cut me some 2" angle iron and we drilled it out and made our own....
It wasn't that hard but take time and for $ 10 i would have gladdly just bought them... US 8 N owners are lucky, you have alot more resources then we do to locate parts and accsesories for the old Ford's...
well thats my rant for the day...

Have you tried a NH dealer? in reply to riverbend farms, 01-29-2008 14:35:18
Have you tried a NH (Fiat) dealer? (Just joking, as I am sure that's what you meant!)

You REALLY can'e expect a dealer selling the new $100,000+ stuff to know about the sway bars, and mounts for these old beasts, UNLESS they are a fairly active dealer for some aftermarket source, and I don't know what that would be in Canuck Land!

It looks like you are in the Winnipeg area, 175 miles NE of me. I have a spare set I'd drop in the mail to you for a very nominal price.

(Or come on down and pick them up!)

I'd have to weigh them, and check on a mailing cost first, though.

Bob ,hit it right on the nail, in Canada we don't have after market parts like in the US and FNH don't want to bother selling something worth $10.00 , they would rather sell you a new tractor for $30,000.
