Hi All!
I want to use a PTO pulley on my 9N but finding one with the 1 3/8 shaft is almost impossible, and when I have seen one, it cost a fortune. I converted my 9n to the 1 3/8 shaft PTO when the seal went bad on the original, now I want to put it back! Can you get a modern seal for the older PTO shaft? And if so, where? Many thanks!
Rick

Thanks All,
Dunk, I'll take you up on your offer to see what you can find out. Old-9 if something easier doesn't turn up, I'll be getting back to you!
JimmyJack, thanks for sharing what you did, I want to try it the original way first but if all else fails...
Rick

Yes they still make the right seal, but not cheap. New Holland can order it I think. If not I can get you one. Email open. Joe

I had the same problem one time, and took the pulley and mounted it on the saw rig. I ran a short belt from pulley to pulley for a safety device in case something pinched. Then I ran a sort pto shaft from the tractor to the pulley on the saw rig. Now any three point can use the sawrig and I dont have to loan out the tractor too. It works just great.

Rick, I am sure that you can convert to the newer model seal.

If someone doesn't tell you how, I will do my best to look that up for you in the AM, and post it.

I may try now, no guarantees.
