I'm still working on it has had problems from the start. Won't run without the choke . She's got this Zenith carb with # B4NNA and don't know if this is the right one for it or not. Looking at carb kits and they list Zenith on the 9N 2N but those have the controls on the oposite side. Should I rebuild this Z carb or would I be better off with a M S carb?

B4NNA is an interesting number, especially since you say it is Zenith.

Hard to see the T handle but it's not the drain we've been putting on them.

Sounder; This is a dumb ?? BUT..... .

Am I correct in assuming that the 621 he is refering to, is a 600 series Ford tractor??? That is what I thought he was talking about, OR...possibly an NNA??/JUB.??

Just wanted to know.!!!???

Thanks

Gary  :?:

A 621 would be an 01 series, not a 00 series.. etc.

Needs choke to run:

Weak sparks ( enriched mix fires easier ).

or

Vacume leak ( choke enriches the mix that has been made lean due to the leak )

or

Fuel obstruction... ( choke adds manifold vacume to pull fuel thru a clogged screen, line, or jet.. )

And if there is it is blocked by the sediment bowl. OH gremlins ran off with my f04 manuel , can't find anywhere . Would sure be nice to know how this works .

Andy; Not knowing what model on tractor you have, puts me in a situation, where I am reluctant to answere your questions. I have never worked on your type of carb., but the M/S carbs., I have done quite a few of!!

I suspect that the "T" handle lower adj. screw, that you are refering to, is NOT an adj. screw at all, but is an add-on butterfly drain, used to drain the carb. bowl of contaminents in the gas. A lot of the "N" series guys are asking me to install these valves, to make it easier to check gas flow, from the tank to the carb.!!!

Getting back to your probs. with your carb., I think you should try to find instructions on that specific carb..... That will insure you to have them for taking appart the carb.

It sounds to me that some kind of dirt/particles are in one or more of the jets in the carb., making that carb give ya fits.

Like I said, try to get the inst. on your carb., then follow them to clean out you problems.

Sorry I could not help more!! :(

T handle lower adj. screw,,, is a adjustable main jet,,, some had it some did not,,, those that did no had a fixed main jet,,, plug with a seal to fill the hole or used as a drain

OK that answers that . And when I had this apart I found that MAIN JET plugged , so i cleaned it . But doesn't seem to run any better. Think I'll get a kit and do it right . Sorry for the confusion , 621 is the TRACTOR model which is a 601 with 4 speed and NO pto or 3 pt. lift.
