 Thangs are a little slow so here's my new'izz find on Cracklist (Craigslist, yes I am addicted). Its a Ellis 1500 band saw,,, a new set of guide bearings and a new blade and it takes on all comers,,, I have made a table so i kin use it in the horizontal position, were I use one the most are i did till i got this'in I know now way folks don't buy USA made tools,,, replacement cost for repair parts are more than a foreign made tool. This one was in a shop that had upgraded a few times to bigger saws and got pushed into a corner. i have had a little band saw for 25 years are so,,, its made by JET,,, its wore slap out,,, been worn out almost from day one,,, damm blade would jump off,,, very little adjustment,,, cut crockeyed.... The Ellis is USA made,,, cost new $3000,,, I have a little less than $500,, paid 250 fer it and have 230 in parts to git it like i want it,,,, BUT if much goes wrong with it I can not afford to pay 1000% mark up for replacement parts made in Japan.....
