There's a guy got one & wants to do some trading on a 49 N I got. He says it's got a wide front end, 3 point, quick hitch, decent metal, starts & runs good.
He's asking $1200. I just don't have the foggiest to their worth.

Any idears?

I remember my Uncle having an old tractor when I was a kid & the implement connections were sorta pointed & always had a lotta grease on them where they slid in the hitch. Is that what this is?

Yea, from the "Tractor Values" page on this site they don't seem to have brought a lot.
Still a neat lookin litte rig if it could be had for the right money I guess.

The Case "Eagle Hitch" is a form of "quick hitch". This was the standard 3pt of the Case tractors. The other big difference is that it does not move sideways. The arms go only up and down, no side movement. I always thought it would make it difficult to turn with an implement.

He did say it had position control. When he said it had a "Quick Hitch" was that a Case thing or you reckon he meant the kind that Harbor Freight, TSC, etc sells? He said something about a cable or lever that locked the implement on. I didn't understand what he meant by that.

I don't know anything about them, I just had to look it up to see what you were talking about, and posted what I quickly found.

Now the Farmall that I rode many, many, hours on, as a 3 or 4 year old kid had a 2 point, quick hitch, never get off the tractor to change implements.

I thought that was cooler N grits!!!

If the tires are good and it runs well $1200 is a pretty good price for an SC. There around 31HP and have live hyds. but the 1952 does not have live PTO. As far as the 3 point its what is called an eagle hitch if its stock and some equipment fit and some will not. BTDT and I have a 1953 with live PTO parts are harder to come by for them then it is for the Ns. I have the one I have up for sale at this time.

The Case Model VAC

The Case VAC

The 1952 Case VAC before restoration.

The featured tractor for 2002 is the Case, Model VAC

The example pictured here belongs to Robert (Mac) MacDonald. The tractor was originally purchased brand new in 1952 by Bud Paddock who had a chicken farm on the line between Pelham and Amherst, Massachusetts. The tractor spent many years with a bucket on its front end, scooping up "you know what".

I had a Case VA- It had a factory wide front and a homemade 3pt. If this guys 3pt is a case eagle hitch then it will have a live pump on the motor. The tractor should be half way nimble but you'll only have 4 speeds, a fast 1st and no LPTO. I sold mine for 1000.00 which I thought was fair, but I miss it. It was the perfect raking tractor.
