The boys named him after Fred in the kids movie Cars. Fred is a rusty truck in the movie. May have to pull the head if I want to get him unstuck. One spark plug was so rusty it pulled right out LOL...Well most of it. I am scared to put a wrench on the rest of them. 3 out of 4 tires are holding air. Left front has a bad tube. Hat rims look good. Has rivited front rims. Heavy duty front bumper. Seat was so rusted it fell off. It was a after market seat. Didnt mess with it much to day. I did hit everything with PB blaster..

Corn is already coming up down there on the gulf coast. The ones I saw were about 4" tall. They were near freezing last night. I hope they didnt freeze. 200 miles south of here we had frost last night. Late in the year for frost around here.

I purchased a 8 N from a retired police officer along the coast line south of Houston about 6 years ago, his name is Jay Andrews I lost contact after the strom, he has a business in a small town restoring 8 N's and has some 53 + models at his home, if you make contact with him he has all you need to fixe up Fred, the 8 N I got from him is top of the line in performance, he has a good product to sell.

Yesterday I stopped at a location to see another person about an empty fire extinguisher for another PROJECT. Strange as it may seem went to the wrong door of this building started talking to a guy who is a mechanic, off in the distance I could see an old rusty tractor, asked who owned the tractor, the mechanic said he was the owner and would sell for $250.00. so I now am the owner of a 1943 CASE Industrial model. I will post a picture, your's looks quite nice compared to the one I purchased. Cheers, Murray

Thank heavens for people like you, restoring and saving things like that! I couldn't/wouldn't and it scares me when I think of that sitting in my shed.

No, doubt, Gary..

Nothing is safe.

A short story.

A buddy of mine had a yellow 1970 model Pontiac GTO "The Judge" package.

The most awesome automobile ever made factory (IMO)

400 engine, factory 4 speed..... .

Anyhow, he drove it to Texas, and had some mechanical problems, got back home and went and got it with a tow vehicle, on the way back he had a mishap, and destroyed it, and the tow vehicle.

One just never knows when they set out on the road, long distance, or even to the grocery store.....
