Is this scraper a later version of the ones built by Ferguson & Overland for use with the early N-series Fords? It has hydraulic cylinders in each side housing that raise and lower the back part of the scraper. Note the hydraulic cylinder in the side with the missing cover. No tags or identification were found. The tongue has a cross member (not visible) that attaches to the lower lift (three-point) arms. It has two hydraulic hoses to connect to the tractor. The owner pulled it with a Ford 800 equipped with duals. Is this a collectible piece?

I bet it is a Hydro-Speed (see the link below). Looks like they were made in Los Angeles, CA, of all places. First one I've ever seen as Overland seems to be the prominent brand. Looks like they would hook up to an 8N as well.

As for a collector piece, everything is collectable to somebody, but probably more fun if it were put back into service. Definitely worth saving from the scrap pile.

Naw,
Them things are a no good piece of junk.
Where'd you say it was again? grin
It would just get me into trouble with the wetlands commission anyway.
I think they have a satelite parked over my place to make sure I don't fill any more of my swamp.

Rick..... ..also commonly called "Fresno's", sometimes "skip-loaders". The "800" has "external hydraulics". NONE of the lighter weight N's have external hydraulics. They hold alotta material and become HEAVY and take serious traction and horsepower. Both of which N's don't have..... ....Dell

With it needing remote hydraulics, the N couldn't work it without a lot of plumbing and add ons. Probly for the hundred series or majors that could have remotes relatively easy. NAA might could work it. Don't know about collectors. It's the first I've heard/ seen. HTH
