RWT said: (quoted from post at 21:58:18 03/12/08) Thanks for the quick response guys. The tractor is in the shop at my brothers so i will have a look tomorrow for the serial #. This is the first time I have found this site lots of interesting items.
Thanks Bob

We here!!

We may not always all have all of the answers, or always the right answers, but we usually have many answers.

Sometimes the "how good our answers are" are directly related to how well a question is asked.

And if we are wrong, or strike out, there are the big guys (the shore nuff Xpurts) that will clue us in.

Did I say?

I Love This Bar!!

RWT,
This is probably the world's foremost site for buying, selling, fixing, restoring, bragging about and sometimes cursing these old Fords.
The parts department here is competitive and friendly too.
Spend a little time and go sifting through the archives - search box - for particulars to familiarize yourself with your grand dad's tractor. Most questions that one could ask about an N have been asked before.
But post your questions too. They have a frequent flyer deal where the more you post the better your tractor will run, resulting in more and better seat time. Welcome

Sometimes it's not that easy. Check out both the s/n location Sean gave as well as John Smith's tractor ID site. 8N's sometimes have 9N engines (and that's were the s/n is) Sometimes folks think it's an 8N & it's really a 9N. Many parts are interchangeable!
