The Dearborne Two-Way Plow is a three point mounted plow which I understand can be used with the Ford 8N. How and where do the "lifting arms" attach to the tractor? Are there some special pieces of hardware used to attach the plow to the tractor? I would greatly appreciate any information and assistance anyone can lend in understanding the attachment and operation of this plow. I have contacted New Holland and posted a message on the Implement board without any response. Thanks.

I have a Dearborn 10-18 2 way which I use with my 2N and 8N. It attaches like any other standard 3 pt hitch, as bg discribed.

These plows work well but are not easy to switch. They work on a pulley system so that only one blade is down, while the other is up. They also don't make real neat perfect rows but do turn the soil over nice. They are great for making little ditches, and for gardens.

Any N-series has a standard Category I 3-point hitch. The plow attaches to the two draw-bar arms and the top link goes from the draft control rocker to the top of the plow frame. The N-Newsletter may have a reprint of the plow info.

I understand how the plow attachs to the tractor three point system (i.e., the lower lifting arms and the top link). What I am trying to determine is how and where the two special tapered bars which trip the plow tipping mechanism, attach to the tractor. Is a special bracket required? Thanks again for any help.
