I have been reading the pros and cons of blasting verses wire brush etc. What is average cost of blasting 8n hood and fenders? I live in TN. The tractor I am working on is going to be used in the fields and I am not looking for show quality finish but would like it to look good when I paint it. I have never had anything sandblasted.

Thanks

I buy the good sand , Silica sand graded to size . It has sharp corners and common sand has rounded edges which dont cut as good .

6 months ago it was almost $8 for 100# bag . I bought some Thursday and it had gone up to $13.80 a bag .

I do most myself, but if I have alot to do or just don't feel like dragging my blaster out I take it to a place that does BIG sand blasting jobs and they just hit the parts real fast while they are working on something else. What you have to do should be no more then $80 in my mind
