I am looking for an engine onerhaul kit and any information on a 1952 Ford 8N with a 6 cylinder Funk Conversion. Are there repair kits out there for these Funk engines?

Ron..... ..would it surprize you to learn engine parts for the dealer installed "Funk" 6-cylinder engine conversion are NOT available at yer local Ford tractor dealer??? Don't go there, don't bother. Try HOT-ROD parts stores, there are many on internet.

The internet is yer 6-cylinder friend, Bookmark this

Never built a Flathead 6 or a Flathead V8,,, a poor boys rebuild for a flathead V8 is to use two .090 N sleeve and piston kits and chevy valves,,, it would make me think the 6 would take N sleeve and pistons,,, dunno know tho

Carpenter and Egge have a lot . There are a few suppliers on ebay also .
I have used sets of .040 and .060 pistons that I got from ebay a whole lot cheaper than the $400 new price . If you end up needing a set just send me an email .

You will need to get parts for a Ford truck or industrial engine, as that is what was used. Most likely you have the 1948-1951 226 CI flathead, though it is possible you have the 254 CI or an earlier flathead 6. As for parts, check with auto parts stores such as NAPA or dealers that specialize in old cars and trucks. A search on the web should come up with many sources (Dennis Carpenter and Egge are ones I can think of off-hand).

The link below will give you some info on Ford engines. Also, do a search on this site for Funk postings. There has been a lot of inquiries within the last few days about your question.
