Finally got time and good weather to remove the old radius arm bolts, from Hermie's front axle.

Had one heck of a time removing the left bolt. (it was the worst off, of the two.) The right bolt was bent and scalded(worn), but nothing like the left one.!!

As you can see, it was time to replace them. Altho, they were not as bad as might be expected.

Jerry;

Funny you should mention crank shaft. That was what I thought of when I got the left bolt out.!!! :lol: But the right bolt, even though bent and damaged, was not half as bad. I used a BFH, and a drift pin. Finally got them out. I hate hammering with a heavy short handled hammer, upsidedown. Ya just can't get any leverage!!!! :lol: Missed the drift, and smacked my hand twice. :twisted:
Man, even the dog legs fit better.

Gary :D

Lookin' good, Hermie! I noticed that while I got in the second planting of corn today with my N, Hermie still has his chains on.
Keep them pic's a comin', Gary.

Jim;
:lol: Yep, he still has the chains on!!! :roll: When he broke his axle, I just backed him into the shop, and that is where he has been, with the exception of running him around the upper drive, to check out the steering.

Then I backed him in there again, to await the new, radius bolts. Besides I wanted to make sure I did not get stuck in the shop on the cement!!! :lol: Slippery, ya know>??? :roll: Too many Ducks.

Glad to hear you are planting already. We still have almost a foot of the white s**t on the front yard. What ain't white is poop brown mud!

Gary :P :x
