Saturday was a delightful day here in the Middle West - temps in the mid-60s, sunny skies and relatively mild winds. I had a number of farm chores to do (some of which involved laoding and spreading accumulated manure from over winter), but did get to spend some quality time on the 8N.

I pulled the left trumpet off, wire brushed and painted that, and then removed the differential gear and hydraulic pump so I could clean out both sumps. As you can see from the photo, I got a good handful or more of mud out of the bottom...

I also tried to hammer out the toplink pin, but it's not having any of it. Used heat and the 3 lb. sledge on a drift, and no luck. I may just leave it as-is and clean and paint as best I can around it.

You should have used Ford Red instead of Allis Orange! Looks good 'cept fer that orange paint, of course it is your tractor and not mine, so your choice of color is OK.
