Spent most of the day installing trim in our new kitchen, but did manage to get the right trumpet back on. Still waiting on the rest of my gaskets to come in to the local parts place, including the left side gasket... Got plenty other stuff to clean and paint in the meantime.

Mike,

Used no sealant, and fully expect all the joints to weep a bit at first. It seems like that's what happens (to me at least) regardless of whether or how much pucky I use. There was no sealant on them when they came apart...

Looking good ! Did you use any sealant on the mounting bolts. I used sealer on all the trumpet mounting bolts but maybe there was no need to do so. I have noticed that the bolts holding my hydraulic pump in place show some oily film even though I used the sealant on them as well. Keep the pictures coming. Good luck.

Red oxide primer... Will brush on Ford Red once all the cast stuff is together.
