Also the clutch linkage, and I think the upper lift arms are the same as my '49, I think that will make it a '49 to early '52???

The others will know more...

The original parts, with the exception of the '67 Chevy II Nova (gas cap) tranny fill cap, the parts all match my '49 8N *236763* .

The steering gearbox, the gear shifter knob, etc.

Hi thanks to all those who replied a picture link has been added. The ford looks in a pretty bad way but with a lot of tlc it will soon be on its way back to its former glory. The only strange thing i have found is that on the pto caseing it has a 9N part number, not sure why?

I think in 52 they changed the upper lift arms to a more rectangular cross section. There was also a "bump" on the left side of the tranny housing. That might confirm the 1952 guess.

Paul..... ..8N-4012B2 is part number for RIGHT trumpet; 8N-4013B2 is part number for LEFT trumpet (1948-1952) sometimes there is an alpha-numeric "casting date" on the trumpets that we can help you decypher. More better, lie on ground and look at yer flat hydraulic pump plate for plain date around the corner pressure test port. Everything (except the Perkins Diesel) is readily replaceable at reasonable prices..... ...Dell
