I've just bought another 9N with what appears to be a F&T or Hupp overdrive trans. I'm pretty sure it's an F&T though; the lever is on the right and it's flat with a small ball end. However, it seems to be very worn with a lot of noise and slop. Does anyone know a parts source for these transmissions? Or, what's required to remove it and go back to normal ops? Thanks

I have an F&T 'parts unit'. I bought a 'spare' because my 'keeper' had a broken front casting but both of them have excellent 'internals'. Determine what parts you need and get back to me.

Thanks Jim,
I'll probably split the tractor in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it'll only need bearings which I should be able to get by size. That will keep your unit more complete for future use. I'll be in touch though regardless with whichever way it works out. Thanks again.

You'll almost surely be able to find all of the bearings. We've been able to find them for all of the other types so it stands to reason.
I forgot to address your other question tho....all you'll need to do to go back to original is pull the aux trans and swap in an original input shaft assembly. Most of us Aux trans 'dealers'(?) hunt and keep them around for just such eventualities. Best of success,
jim
