Whew! Well I'm back. No thanks to the shell game playing sponsor above. Tried their super speed-em-up software. Crashed my machine quite nicely, and screwed up my registery. Then tried a linked registry fixer-upper. Worse! After spending lots of exciting time reading codes and other so interesting things, my machine is about 95% fixed and running.

I know Kim needs the sponsorship for funding this board. And I don't begrudge her, or shareware for that matter. But this specific piece seems like a bad news toy, at least on my pentium. Try it if you like, and I wish you the best of luck. Just be forwarned that it splatted my machine like a bug on a windshield.

Hurts to that my emergency recovery utilities had been erased by some fool (couldn't be me). And that the buffoon that tried installing the above shareware didn't bother to double check and make sure his recovery systems were in place (still couldn't be me!).

Hey, if you like that software, I have some secret modifications that will increase your N's horsepower and torque by 450%, at least. Sne me about $3500.00 (US) in small, unmarked bills for details...;^)

Nolan, Yes, I bit also on the speed up your connection software. It hasn`t caused me any great problems yet, that i know of, but hasn`t done any good either... Guess one just has to say no to those things and not get drawn into trying them...
My pc has AMD processor, so maybe it took liking to that better. At least it hasn`t infected my 8n yet that i know of..:)
