Further investigation of the hitch/lift...

Spent a little time just now experimenting with my hitch now that she's running and can power the pto. This is with clear(seriously) fluid that hasn't gotten any dirtier looking with use(30 minutes of PTO running at this point)

Here is what is happening:
With the pto OFF I can push the lift all the way down and it will stay untill I engage the pto.
When the pto is triggered - no matter what position the quadrant OR the "little-lever" is in the arms go up to the top(normal speed but with authority). If I move the quadrant up and back down - the arms drop about 3-4 inches in sync with the quadrant lever before stopping. The quadrant handle gets "resistant" but will go all the way to the bottom of the range. If I move the quadrant all the way down to the bottom of the range then stand on the arms like before - it will not drop(unless I kill the pto). So if what I'm told and read is true - I think I have an exhaust valve issue.
My box-blade is coming this weekend and I'm wondering it having that on there and putting a couple of hours on the thing might help matters? If not - what stuff do I certainly need to order to be able to fix it? Keep in mind I'm broke :)

For some reason (usually grit, dirt) your valves in your hydro pump ain't moving when they should be.

Well, that is at least what I think.

Open the inspection plate, and move them manually, with a screwdriver or something, external of the springs in the quadrant.

If you can't move them they are stuck, if you move them and it works right, I am right, if nothing changes, ask Zane.

In reference to the last sentence. You ain't the only one paddling that boat, lots of others in it with you.
